"Occupied Head" is the solo moniker of Hamburg based artist Dieter Mauson since 2011. Apart from that he was and is active in the following projects: Nostalgie Éternelle (since 1986), Opfer der Hingabe (since 1989), Delta-Sleep-Inducing Peptide (since 1989), 7697 Miles (since 2016), Sauerstofff (since 2018), Die Abbilder (since 2020) and The Pulse (since 2020).

"Orchestraciones Dissonantes Internes" are Marian Raméntol and Cesc Fortuny (Karkassa DP), based in Catalonia. They are interested in the interdisciplinary fusion of linguistic reshaping, figurative metaphor and new musical forms. All three aim to achieve a complementary, condensed wholeness. They understand noise as a musical weapon and complex method of expression that refuses all orthodoxies to become a new ammunition. Interaction with the environment, improvisation, friction, impact, reflection and complaint are their methods of fighting for new ways of expression.

And the story behind this album goes like this: In March 2019 Dieter did a small tour through Spain with his solo project Occupied Head and played a few concerts. In Barcelona he shared the stage with Orquestacions Dissonants Internes, who made a live soundtrack for Dr. Caligari. After the concerts they went around the houses with a few people and later Marian and Cesc took Dieter to their house in Monistrol de Montserrat. The next day they did a recording session at their studio. Cesc played electric guitar, Marian theremin and Dieter analog synths. From there started the story of this recorded material: First uploaded as raw material on Nausea Rec., but then again used as the basic material for more. In November 2021 the recordings were splitted into 10 basic tracks and every project then took its favorites to go on with. Orquestacions Dissonants Internes took five and added more instruments to it and Occupied Head did the same with the other five. So every project directed the material into another character, like two perspectives...or two sides of the hill.
